Meet Dr. Campbell
Dr. William Campbell has a distinguished educational career that involves graduating from the University of Maryland in Baltimore, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, as well as the University of Alabama in Birmingham, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. Two later milestones on his learning journey were receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine from UAB and making it through his residency as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Detroit’s Henry Ford Hospital.
The most prestigious boards in related fields of practice recognize Dr. Campbell’s excellence. He is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and a Fellow of both the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Campbell’s professional passions have led to his active involvement in numerous membership organizations associated with his fields of study and scope of practice. These groups include the International College of Oral Implantology, American College of Oral Implantology, American Dental Association, and Georgia Dental Association. He is also a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
As a proud product of the outstanding UAB Dental School, Dr. Campbell was overwhelmed to receive their award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Apart from his professional life, which spans practicing in the Columbus, GA and Phenix City, AL area for over three decades, Dr. Campbell devotes his time to his beloved family and his devoted Labrador Retrievers. Many people are surprised to learn that Dr. Campbell is a Certified Beekeeper who makes delicious local honey.
